International Women’s Day 2025 “Accelerate Action for Equality”
The Advisory Council on the Status of Women, Women’s Network PEI, the Coalition for Women’s Leadership, and community volunteers invite everyone to join in celebrating IWD on Saturday, March 8 from 6:30pm-9:30pm in the Rotary Auditorium of the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre (CLLC).
*Please enter the library through the back doors on Pownal Street.
A variety of performers will share their dance traditions and invite participants to join in simple movements. Two speakers will share their passion to advance women and girls and to grow community. And as usual there will be refreshments, a children’s corner with books and activities, and IWD gifts for all! The evening will wrap up by singing together the IWD anthem “Bread & Roses.” Alexia Riche will emcee the evening’s celebrations.
People of all genders are welcome to attend this free of charge event. Join in friendship, allyship and celebration to accelerate a global movement towards gender equality!
We encourage donations of menstrual products or money for their purchase to help set up a “comfort cabinet” at the Summerside Library.
