We had a marvellous time in Lennox Island on Friday, May 30!
The Status of Women held our day-long Council meeting in the Minigoo Fisheries building and hosted a focus group with six staff members and an elder from the Aboriginal Women’s Association over lunch. Such a lively, intelligent and passionate group of women! The beautiful day ended with a tour of the Lennox Island Culture Centre by George Snache.
Thank you to Laura Bernard and Alyssa Jo Bernard for helping to organize and for sharing your knowledge and wisdom and perspective as Indigenous women. You made our day in your community so special.
