We are excited to announce our upcoming symposium on Women & Justice on Tuesday, October 27 from 9am – 4pm at the Arts Guild in Charlottetown (111 Queen Street).
In partnership with the Aboriginal Women’s Association of PEI (AWA) and the Elizabeth Fry Society of Cape Breton and PEI, this symposium aims to start a conversation around women and justice with a focus on the impact of gender-based violence within and outside of the justice system.
Please join us for panel discussions, conversations, and lunch! Together, we will begin the process of identifying solutions and ways to improve services and policies for women in the justice system.
This symposium is free of charge thanks to funding from the PEI Interministerial Women’s Secretariat and the National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence. Donations to AWA and/or Elizabeth Fry Society are encouraged.
Please note that seats are limited. Registration will close on October 19 or when registration is full.
